I mean. they're just perfection.

Inspire me. (pt. 2)

I decided to watch this documentary after it was mentioned in a HelloGiggles article.
I love HelloGiggles, I read stuff from there every single day and it always makes me feel better about my day/life, so I thought it would be worth it to watch this little thing too, since, well, I adore Beyoncé.

I only saw her twice, but each time I left the concert feeling empowered and proud to be a woman. This documentary about the year she spent working on her fourth album is very powerful too. You can see her determination and ambition, but also how difficult it is to get where you want to get and how, as she says, "you should never feel too comfortable or too confident".

Honestly, I am not going through a very positive time in my life (generally but most of all career-wise), so watching this strong woman doing all that she does by herself and on her own terms is nothing but inspiring. It makes me understand that she, too, had to start somewhere, and thanks to her passion and most of all, hard work, she made it. The best part, though, is that she never says that. There is never a moment in these 20 minutes or so in which Beyoncé acts like a diva or explicitly says that she's made it. She's obviously proud about getting shit done and about the record she worked so hard on, but it's clear that she never feels like it's time to rest, or to just relax. 

I don't know, it's people like her, actual people who actually exist in this world, that make me realize that if you have a vision and if you work really, really hard you can do whatever you want. It's not easy, but you can. 

You can be an independent woman. And that's all I want.
